Customer Stories

Planfix and sales department — everything well in hand

  • Background

In 2021, a manufacturing company requested our services. Its growing international business required automation and process adjustment. At that time, we streamlined operations in the Planfix Enterprise Management System, and a year later the business faced some new challenges.

  • The challenges

  1. Streamlining the internal control system.
  2. The head of sales was the only employee who had access to the customer database.
  3. They had a disagreement with the company manager. As a result, an error or deliberate action by an offended employee could lead to the loss of information.

  • The goals

  1. Doing everything efficiently and under the radar
  2. Changes had to be implemented while the head of sales was away on vacation with them noticing nothing.

  • Solution

1. Fine-tuned access levels

The Planfix system is very flexible and allows adjusting processes and regulating their visibility to different employees. We developed a solution that enabled the manager to control all the sales department processes. At the same time, things remained unchanged for the person in charge. If they deleted something from the database, it was moved to the bin hidden from them, and the company manager received a notification and could return information back to the system.

2. Remote implementation

Planfix is a cloud-based system, so companies do not have to install any software. All they need to do is go to the website and start using it. This enabled us to connect to the system remotely and quickly set up a new configuration. When the head of sales was back from vacation, nothing changed for them, while the manager had a ready-to-use control tool.

  • Result

  1. The resulting solution offered the company manager an additional mechanism of control over the head of sales. It reduced the risks of information loss and opened up new opportunities to make customer relations more efficient.
  2. After the solution was implemented, the sales department grew fourfold and the company started to actively expand its customer database.
